If you register for and ride the Viva Bike Vegas 2013 Gran Fondo Pinarello, you can also get into the Interbike trade show in Las Vegas for a day.

Interbike is opening its doors to consumers for the first time this year, but on a limited basis. Earlier this year Interbike announced a program where shops can invite their best customers to join them on Friday, September 20. Now, Viva Bike Vegas riders can get into the show on Friday as well, for $20.

Interbike, North America's annual trade show, brings in more than 1,200 cycling-related brands, with two days of Outdoor Demo where retailers can test ride new and upcoming product, and three indoor show days. The Viva Bike Vegas Gran Fondo Pinarello is Saturday, the 21st.

“We view the Viva Bike Vegas event as the ultimate culmination of a week-long celebration of cycling,” Interbike's managing director Pat Hus said.

In recent years, many large brands have opted to host their own event for dealers, and reduced or eliminated their Interbike presence. Trek, most notably, has separated from Interbike. But Interbike remains the one place in North America where the most cycling brands can be seen in one place.

The RTC Viva Bike Vegas 2013 Gran Fondo Pinarello has three distance options: a 103-mile Gran Fondo, a 60-mile Metric Century and a 17-mile ride. All routes begin on the Las Vegas Strip, and the longer routes head out into the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. Each is $85. After registering for the Viva Bike Vegas Gran Fondo, riders will be given a code for Interbike, registration for which opens April 15.
