SCODY 3 Peaks Challenge – last call for entries

One-day gran fondo in Victoria, Australia

Published: February 26, 2013 at 2:50 pm

The 3 Peaks Challenge is, arguably, Australia's most demanding one-day gran fondo. The timed event sees riders test themselves over a course that's more than worthy of a Tour de France mountain stage, taking in three of Victoria's alpine passes, with 4,000m of climbing in 235km and 13 hours.

The course has 85km of road closures, with marshals, mechanics and medics on hand throughout the day. The event is also fully supported, with seven feed stations providing water, energy drinks, bars and gels as part of your AUS$325 entry fee.

Timing chips are also provided, with participants receiving splits for each of the three ascents – Tawonga Gap (876m), Mount Hotham (1,825m) and Falls Creek (1,720m).

If this sounds like your kind of weekend then act soon – there's still time to enter for the event, which will be held on 10 March 2013. To get more information or book a place see www.bicyclenetwork.com.au and watch the video below:
