If you found these sparkly Spanish shoes under the Christmas tree you would think they needed unwrapping. Put them on and the unseasonal yuletide feel continues as they are sumptuously padded to a slipper-like quality.
The fly in the ointment for us was the wide fit – which is surprising for a continental shoe – because as a result we found ourselves having to overtighten the bottom strap which crumpled the top of the toe box.
There are no vents in the sole, and with the thick padding the shoe will be cosy on cold rides but hot on long summer rides.
The three Velcro straps work as well as we’ve come to expect Velcro strap closure systems to work but will leave dangly tails unless you’ve got wide feet.
