Mavic Cruize shoes review£70.00

Casually styled

BikeRadar score1.5/5

These slimline Mavics are closer to casual trainers than they are to riding shoes, and the thick EVA midsole feels good when walking.

The heel is particularly well cushioned while the toes offer plenty of flex. But the tread surrounding the cleat isn’t deep enough to shield an SPD cleat, leading to scratched floors and an uncomfortable bulge.

The discomfort continues once on the bike as the Cruize deforms around the cleat, bending and pressurising the foot. The socially acceptable looks aren’t enough to excuse the discomfort of everyday use which results from poor cleat support.
