German ex-pro, Jan Ullrich is a fan of Rapha it seems, and has appeared in photos wearing the British brand's kit.

Ullrich, who was crowned 1997 Tour de France winner asked the company for some kit for the shoot. He posted the photos on his personal website calling Rapha "his new partner".

Rapha, however, stressed to BikeRadar that there is no formal partnership between them and Ullrich — he merely likes their kit.

In February 2012, the Court for Arbitration of Sport stripped him of all results from 1 May 2005 for meetings with Dr Eufemiano Fuentes. And in June this year, Ullrich admitted to blood doping during his career.

Meanwhile the British label has also kicked off a three-week long quiz, where the public can win Rapha gear. Today's prize in the Alpe d'Quiz is a backpack and cover for answering the question: Fausto Coppi was the first man to do what? A) win the Tour and the Giro in the same year; B) use a power meter; C) Win the Tour of Beijing.
