K-Edge introduces Garmin Edge 1000 mount

New model is 7mm longer, works with other models, too

K-Edge today announced a new Garmin Edge 1000-compatible handlebar mount – just hours after Garmin released official information on its new range-topping GPS-enabled bike computer.

The new K-Edge mount will essentially be identical to the current model with the exception of an additional 7mm of length to accommodate the Edge 1000's longer body. Carryover features include the ultra-solid CNC-machined aluminum body with bottom-fed bolts, a choice of several anodized colors, and the slick-feeling plastic quarter-turn insert for the computer interface.

Provided you're ok with the extra length, the new mount will of course also work with older quarter-turn Garmin Edge computers, too.

Retail price is set at US$44.95 / £32.99 and K-Edge says the new mounts will arrive in stores later this month.
