Trials star Danny MacAskill will be going on the road this autumn for the Red Bull Street Light Sessions, in association with BikeRadar. The young Scot is inviting fellow trials enthusiasts from across the UK to ride with him at two inner-city locations.
Both events – in Castle Park, Bristol on 17 September and the River Street Development, Manchester on 8 October – will take place under cover of darkness. There'll be specially designed setups at both venues that will challenge riders of all levels, and you don't need to apply or sign up to take part – just head over to the event page and await further details.
For less experienced riders, Red Bull will be holding taster sessions in both cities with former trials world champion Martyn Ashton. Inspired Bicycles will provide the kit; Ashton and MacAskill the skills. To get involved, enter your details on the Streetlight Sessions website. "The idea came from Danny wanting to have a mass session in some cool spots," Ashton told BikeRadar. "Everyone knows him for the moving image stuff he does but trials is just like most action sports – bloody good fun when you all get together and jam. So Street Light was born for exactly that reason – a session with some top riders but also a great opportunity for anyone to come along and get involved."
