Useful 'get you home in an emergency bar' but highly processed.

The manufacturer says this bar is ‘For sport performance’. The percentage of total calories from carbohydrate is the same as that from a Clif Bar,  but the sources of each are very different.

The Clif Bar’s ClifCrunch mixture contains apple and oat fibre, flaxseed and psyllium to give bulk to the bar. The main ingredient in the Isostar bar is oat flakes, held together with various forms of highly refined sugars and dried milk products.

The practical upshot is a sweet and synthetic taste and a bar that, dissolves easily in your mouth.

If you like the taste, this could be a useful ‘get you home in an emergency bar’ but the ingredients are highly processed, so it’s not one to eat on a regular basis.
