Our review
A halfway house between tech T-shirt and full-on hot weather top

The Dolomite Mountain jersey is refreshingly simple in terms of cut but it does have a few tricks up its short sleeves.

It’s made from Re-Spun, Cannondale’s proprietary recycled polyester fabric, which has been cleverly woven to give it an SPF (sun protection factor) of 40 while remaining open enough to breathe and ventilate effectively.

That said, the low crew neck provides no protection whatsoever, so while shoulders are under wraps you’ll still need to slap on the suncream between your helmet and collar. Overlocked seams are comfy enough but the multiple panels haven’t contributed to a form-fitting shape.

This is not a performance layer but if you’re shy of appearing like a cyclist, or want a jersey that will cross over to other sports too, then it works well. The cut’s on the boxy side so if you’re wanting to wear it on a less than casual basis then check the sizing.
