Plaid is very this year, or so we’re told, and it’s always good to be cutting edge. But fashion aside, this is one big jersey.
It makes skinny guys look broad (note to anyone who gets sand kicked in their face on the beach – rush out and purchase this now) and stocky chaps look quite a lot stockier.
But surprisingly it doesn’t ride ‘big’ and we like the detail of the back neck taping that keeps things smooth, plus the lens cleaner sewn into the side seam at hem level.
We can’t, however, get past the shine on the fabric – no matter how much we love those checks it feels sweatier from the outset and puts us in mind of football shirts.
