Ground Effect Baked Alaska jersey review

This simple but super effective top has been a frosty ride favourite for ages. The Windfoil membrane is sandwiched between a fleecy front and backed with a fast wicking inner face to keep you cosy but surprisingly dry, even when the air is icy.

Warm yet lightweight windfront top that’s worth the delivery delay

This simple but super effective Ground Effect top from Baked Alaska has been a frosty ride favourite for ages. The Windfoil membrane is sandwiched between a fleecy front and backed with a fast wicking inner face to keep you cosy but surprisingly dry, even when the air is icy.

The Heatwave Merino mix stays warm even when soaking wet, dries pretty fast and doesn't stink after several days' wear. It's a bit itchy at first, but you'll be amazed how much weather it'll handle and stay comfy. Two big zipped back pockets store stuff and it works really under a thin shell too.

You have to wait a week or so for postage but prices are excellent and our constantly worn three-year-old top looks as new as the sample they just sent us.
