Great cut and fit, great weight, great details

The Graphic jersey is part of a 2013 update of the Mavic Notch enduro range. Designed for hot weather riding, it’s the best long-sleeve jersey we’ve tried when the temperature rises. The mesh fabric is barely perceptible once on, and it feels weightless when you ride. That’s enhanced by the loose fit, which seems immediately right when you put it on.

The shallow V of the neck is high enough to work with the cut of the shoulders and provide sufficient fit to stop the top half sliding around when you are (sliding around, that is) – but there’s no sense of restriction at all. In our experience, the best jerseys tend to be a simple combination of fabric and fit – and the Notch is the perfect example of this.

Sometimes less really can be more, and that’s borne out when you ride wearing the Notch. Its performance comes into its own – and it’s not just the speed of wicking or the quick drying. The neck is completely taped (not just the back) and the cuffs are deep so they hold the sleeves down or push up and hold securely.

The little details match the quality of the overall design – and that’s what elevates the Notch above the rest, and keeps it as comfortable at the end of a long hot day on the trail as in the cafe at the start.

It washes well and dries overnight, and we don’t see any reason not to wear this all summer long.
