Our review
Superbly priced slim fit, fast/hot rider performance softshell

The Polaris Vortex jersey is a pure performance top rather than something you'd wear to the pub, but at this price we're not complaining.

The fit is close, but not so tight it's restrictive and you can still get a base layer underneath. Windshield Calibre covers your chest and front of arms to block out sub-zero windchill, but even in mild conditions it stays bearable against bare skin. The rest of the top is a thin Therma-stretch fabric that sucks up sweat, dries fast, and keeps the fit close. Four rear pockets store stuff, arms and back are plenty long enough and zip pullers work with the thickest winter gloves.

If you're skinny or staying moving isn't your style their Helix top (£69.99) is baggier and generally warmer. Either way we haven't seen much that matches them on performance for price.
