Ooh… there’s nothing like a turtle neck to make you come over all Roger Moore circa 1960s The Saint period. Posing aside, the neck does afford a touch more protection on chilly descents – as does the substantial fabric, which has a reassuring heft to it.
Happily we found that its wicking ability kicks in as you start to warm up so you don’t overheat (although clearly it isn’t one for the hottest summer days). We also liked the cut, which isn’t overly baggy, just nicely casual.
The flat-locked seams aren’t just a performance detail that makes for extra comfort, they add extra style points too, because you can flip this reversible top to wear the textured inner side outwards, when it looks like a very classy sweatshirt.
