Lake MXZ302 mountain bike shoes review
These boots are very warm – when dry – thanks to multiple layers of Outlast insulation; a metal foil, bubble wrap and wool sandwich insole; and their roomy fit.
The tall neoprene sock and double splash flap design around the ankle keep water out well and the Boa lacing system is protected by a splash flap. The grippy Vibram sole is stud-ready, so they’re capable of being great snow boots.
While breathability is excellent, the leather relies on regular proofing to stay water-resistant and even then they still get – and stay – wet eventually. We’ve had separation problems with the heel cup too.
