Scott All Mountain shoes review
Protection is the basis of the All Mountain shoes fromScott, helped by a crank deflecting, high-ankle cuff and hard, plastic-coated toebox. During a year of Alpine hike-a-biking the AMs proved to be solid performers, with mid-soles stiff enough to deliver power on the bike but with enough flex for comfortable hiking.
A medium soft rubber outsole gives grip in both wet and dry conditions while the Velcro three-strap closure was comfortable, effective and reliable in all weathers. Our only gripe is that we had to reglue the outsole near the cleat after a year. But it had seen a hell of a lot of abuse.
