Ideal as first pair of clipless shoes or if you’re into navigation-style events

The revised X-Alp Enduro shoes are ideal for clippy shoe newbies and navigation style events.

They’re effectively a cross between traditional disco slippers and outdoor trainers. The X-Alps are reinforced where they need to be and feature a grippy rubber sole, ratchet closure and a breathable mesh upper.

There is more flex on the pedals than with a regular clipless shoe, but the shoe plate never intrudes into the sole of your foot. Obviously this flex means power transfer is down a bit, but then that’s not what these shoes are about.

Off the bike they don’t feel a million miles away from a hiking shoe, with more sole thickness where the shoeplate is.

The X-alp Enduro shoes manage to pull off exactly what they promise offering flexible comfort, efficient pedalling and a snug fit.
