Our review
Superbly constructed, with a supportive footbed and comfort in spades

The Giro Factor ACC shoes oozes style and is luxuriously appointed with heavily perforated leather-like Evofibre uppers that are very tough, providing excellent support and resistance against maximal efforts on the pedals.

  • Highs: Stylish, efficient with a tunable fit
  • Lows: Some riders may want more ventilation

Both forefoot Velcro straps are offset to spread the load, and the well-padded, perforated tongue evens out the pressure from the ratcheting ankle strap. Giro’s new MR-1 buckle is low profile and superb to use, enabling fast tension adjustments on the move in fine increments, helping provide a perfect fit.

The Easton EC90 ACC unidirectional carbon sole has a toe vent and replaceable heel bumper, and is utterly rigid, while Giro’s SuperNatural Fit footbed has three interchangeable arch supports, helping you to fine tune the shoes' fit.

The sole is made by Easton – no flex there!

While they’re not the most ventilated as far as footwear goes, the Factor ACC shoes feel extremely cosseting and efficient, and offer superb performance.
