Shimano M085 shoes review
Good inexpensive mountain bike footwear

Shimano’s fairly budget MO85 shoe looks like a far more serious shoe with its fly silver colourway and has the performance to match.
The sole is the key to the keeping the price down – soft rubber, wide heel and basic design. There’s plenty of upwards flex for walking but they’re still stiff enough for hard pedalling – although they’re nowhere as stiff as the more expensive M182N shoe.
The upper is made from stretch-resistant synthetic leather, and features two offset velcro straps to eliminate pressure points and one strap with a proper ratchet fastening.
