Fantastic boots for riding/trudging around in the slop and staying dry

Winter riding often means getting wet, cold, numb feet, but that can be a thing of the past if you slip into Shimano's MW02 winter boots.

The boots feature a waterproof Gore-Tex lining, a snug neoprene collar, twin velcro straps and a heavily grooved, mud shedding sole; they're clearly designed for mud plugging and wet weather riding. Like most Shimano shoes, the fit is great - in fact, these are the comfiest SPD shoes I've ever slipped my size 46s into - they literally fit like a sock. The toe box is reinforced, as is the heel box, and both wrap around your foot nicely to support it and help keep it warm. Moisture can sometimes creep in down the ankle cuff, but the neoprene material works well and keeps your feet warm.

The sole is rock solid and very efficient for pedalling. It's also great for use off the bike because it grips on the sections that are too slimy to ride.
