A great balance of comfort, cosiness and cost makes these our winning winter boot

Shimano’s winter boots have been slowly evolving for years, and now we reckon they offer the best comfort, cosiness and cost balance around.

The insulated liner and soft Polyurethane-coated leather upper make them immediately comfortable and snug, with extra toe and heel protection for rocky stumbles.

The Gore-Tex liner keeps them dry through shallow puddles too, although water does eventually seep in through the Neoprene cuff on long, wet rides.

The reinforced sole stops uncomfortable cold spots when pedalling hard, and the sole grips well on wet rock and mud. It’s best to check fit first if you use fat socks and they do take a while to dry.
