Welcome to BikeRadar’s indoor training week.

Indoor training exploded in popularity during the Covid-19 pandemic and its popularity has persisted, with cyclists finding indoor training to be an effective way to stay fit, race against friends and avoid bad weather.

As a result, we’ve upped our coverage of indoor training in recent years. We continue to explore training apps, and review the best smart trainers and the best indoor bikes. We also bring you all the latest indoor training news, from developments in tech to new virtual worlds on Zwift.

While getting set up for indoor training requires some outlay, it has the potential to make you a formidable cyclist.

Training plans and workouts are useful for making the most of your time. They can also keep you motivated when cycling outdoors isn’t so appealing – even if that motivation results in pushing yourself through yet another horrible FTP test.

Over the next seven days, we’ll cover everything you need to know about cycling indoors, serving up an array of indoor training content throughout the week.

We’ll bring you fitness and training advice, in-depth buyer’s guides and tips on how to get the most out of cycling indoors.

On top of that, we’ll ask what the future of indoor cycling may look like and whether you should really trade the open road for static training.
